Control Software Kernel (CSK) is our toolkit for design of Windows-based software that controls an instrument. We develop the LigandTracer control software on this platform and also provide the core to other companies. CSK is designed to get an instrument platform up and running within 1-4 weeks.
Main features of CSK:
Delivered as a fully running program. The kernel function is exemplified through the use of a standard DAQ device (Labjack U12).
Windows 7 compatible and developed in Visual Studio 2010.
File format is TraceDrawer compatible: The result files can be evaluated in an existing powerful evaluation software.
Unique encryption in that each CSK installation has unique encryption keys. Your result files cannot be opened by others.
The system architechture comprises a Method definition tool that creates a text based script. The method is sent through a Logic layer to the Instrument communication unit. Data read from the instrument is passed back to the Logic layer, in to a File and up to the Graphical User Interface. The Logic layer and the file format are provided as DLLs and the other components as template source code (Visual Basic).
